List of the works of Lewis Carroll

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of Lewis Carroll's works includes all of Lewis Carroll's works , including those published under his real name, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, another alias or anonymously. The list also includes posthumous publications. Carroll had a few short texts printed at his own expense and distributed them to colleagues, for example. Some of these are also listed.

Works that have not been published independently, such as articles in magazines, are not included in the list. However, some of these works were later reissued as independent works and can therefore still be found in the list. There is also a lack of translations into other languages, as well as posthumous new editions and new editions of already published works.

The list is grouped according to content, although the division is not clear in some cases. So could A Tangled Tale also be construed as a narrative, however, is here because of the mathematical tasks under the category of mathematical works. Within the individual rubrics, the works are sorted according to the year of publication; posthumous publications also indicate the year of origin.

Stories, novels

Carroll is best known for Alice in Wonderland and Alice Behind the Looking Glass . In addition to the two illustrated editions by John Tenniel , there was also a non-illustrated and therefore cheaper complete edition. The original version of Alice in Wonderland with Carroll's own illustrations and an adaptation for toddlers with some colored illustrations by Teniell were also published.
