Lejasciems is a village in Latvia not far from Gulbene . The village is located on the left bank of the Gauja river . Lejasciems is the capital of the municipality of Lejasciems ( Lejasciema pagasts ). The Gulbenes novads administrative district was created in 2009 from the municipalities of Beļava , Daksti , Druviena , Galgauska , Jaungulbene , Litene , Lizums , Līgo , Ranka , Stāmeriena , Stradi , Tirza and Lejasciems.
In 2007, 712 residents were registered.
