List of weather disasters of 2013 with a loss of more than one billion US dollars

This list of weather disasters from 2013 with a loss of more than one billion US dollars names 41 natural disasters for which Aon Benfield has determined a loss of more than one billion US dollars and where the weather was the cause of the damage. Of these 41 natural events, eight are severe weather events such as hail , tornado and storm (excluding tropical cyclones), seventeen are floods after extensive rainfall and seven are the consequences of tropical cyclones. There are also three onset of winter and four droughts.

Nine of these weather disasters affected the United States and eight that of the People's Republic of China . There were six events in Europe.
