Villa Herbert Broschek ObjectID : 92558 since 2019 |
Mag.-Helga-Broschek-Weg 7 KG location : Fieberbrunn |
The Herbert Broschek Villa was built in 1963 for the co-founder of the Gebro Fieberbrunn company, Herbert Broschek, by the architect Wilhelm Stigler junior and expanded in 1973 to include a swimming pool with an integrated guest wing. It is a representative example of post-war modernism in Tyrol. The residential building has the floor plan of a Greek cross and is a south-facing, multi-storey, structured building. The clear shapes are emphasized by changing the materials (exposed concrete, exposed brick walls and quarry stone walls). The horizontally structured, flat-roofed and vertically accentuated residential building is staggered over half floors and offset into the rising slope. The horizontality is emphasized by the windows, which are consistently designed as ribbon windows.
The swimming pool with guest wing is connected to the main house by a stone staircase. The single-storey building is formally oriented towards the main house and opens to the garden with a glass front towards the south. |
