The niche chapel with curved gable and pilasters has frescoes by Simon Benedikt Faistenberger depicting the crucifixion of Christ and the excerpt of the resurrection of Christ. The barred niche in the base area was used as an ossuary until the beginning of the 20th century.

The building was built as a primary school in 1890 and raised by one floor in 1912. It has a wide gable roof and a five-axis facade as well as some features of the so-called Heimatstyle , which are particularly noticeable in the portal, the balcony and the window canopies.

The market town hall was built in 1954/55. The elongated, three-storey building has a regular facade structure and a gable roof. On the south side of the gable there is an arcade , above it an inscription, the Tyrolean state coat of arms and the municipal coat of arms , on the southeast corner a polygonal bay window. The four seasons are depicted on the western eaves side. The facade painting is by Luis Alton (1894–1972).

The building, built in 1724, served in the 18th and 19th centuries as a seminary and correctional institution for clergy with a sinful way of life ( Riester priest house ). Later the primary school, the municipal office and numerous other municipal institutions were housed in the house. In 1994 it was adapted as a museum, and in 2003 an underground connection to the so-called Waschhäusl (former municipal stadl ) was built. The small, two-storey building, accessible from the gable side, has a flat, widely protruding gable roof, two small transverse oval windows in the gable and a sump over the full gable side at the back . Towards the wash house there is an attached glass cube for the spiral staircase that leads to the basement connection in the outbuilding.

Next to the local history museum , a former priest's house, there is a farm building, the so-called Waschhäusl ( laundry room ). The building with the steep hip roof dates back to 1787 and was connected to the main building in 2004 by a large cellar room under the street. Since then, it has housed the exhibition Felsenreich - Myth and Adventure Kaisergebirge .

In 1949 the first chapel was built in what was then the community hospital. In 2002/2003 it was rebuilt for the nursing home. The chapel room has a semicircular floor plan, the three glass windows by Gottlieb Kempf-Hartenberg were taken from the old hospital chapel . The wall paintings on the facade are by Patricia Karg .

The octagonal chapel was built between 1669 and 1674 as a grave church for Dean Jacob de Berti. The black and gold altar with the Renaissance image of St. Anthony is kept in the style of the courtly baroque. The eight figures of saints in the corners of the chapel with the mining cartridges Barbara and Daniel, the weather cartridges Johannes and Paulus, the plague cartridges Sebastian and Rochus, and the family cartridges Josef and Joachim were created by the Kitzbühel sculptor Benedikt Faistenberger. The dome houses a historically significant monumental fresco by Josef Schöpf , who in 1803 created the first panorama picture of a Tyrolean mountain landscape with the depiction of the town of St. Johann in Tirol and its surroundings.

In 1696 a hermit's hermitage was built at the foot of the Niederkaiser and has been inhabited by hermits ever since. The two-storey building with a steep gable roof and mansards has a prayer room that is interesting for folklore and with grotto decorations made of pebbles.

The pilgrimage chapel with a semicircular apse and ridge turret contains a baroque columned altar with a copy of the miraculous image of Mary Blood of Ré in Piedmont. The vault paintings with the Sacred Heart medallion and the Visitation of the Virgin are by Peter Thaler (1947/48). In the chapel there is a life-size baroque crucifix and a representation of Christ as the Man of Sorrows. On the sacristy door there is a depiction of the hermit St. Paul of Thebes and also on the Altarmensa are the hermits Paulus of Thebes, Antonius the Hermit and Hieronymus.

The statue with a mighty, very well worked sculpture of St. The inscription of Johannes Nepomuk dates back to 1718 and is the oldest stone figure of this saint in Tyrol (eleven years before his canonization). It should have been made by the Salzburg sculptor Josef Anton Pfaffinger (1684–1758). On the high, square base the chiseled coat of arms of Bishop Anton Adolf von Chiemsee and an inscription plaque.

The dean's parish (also Chiemseehof), built around 1400, was the summer or pastoral residence of the bishops of Chiemsee from 1446 to 1808 and has been the dean's seat since 1621. The three-storey building with a protruding saddle roof, segmented arcades on the ground floor, a balcony that occupies the entire width of the facade and a tower-like corner bay was generously expanded in the second half of the 18th century in the Baroque style. On the first floor there is a Gothic hall with fresco fragments from the 15th century as well as an important portrait gallery of all St. Johann priests and deans from the 15th century until today.

The farm building of the Dechanthof is a two-story, elongated building with a narrow, single-axis gable side. It dates from the middle of the 18th century. The ground floor is bricked, the upper floor made of square timber. Balcony on two sides with smooth, vertical wooden parapets. Flat gable roof with carved purlins.

The former farm building with a core from the 15th century was originally connected to the dean's parish by a covered corridor. It was rebuilt in 1973 and removed down to the vaults on the ground floor. It is now used as a bank branch. The two-story, elongated building is covered with a crooked roof. The roof is covered with wooden shingles, shows dormers and is pulled down on the west side to the ground floor level. The hallway on the first floor has partly barrel vaults, partly cross vaults, each with stitch caps. The arches, windows and corners on the facades are provided with simple bezels.

The farmhouse dates from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The two-storey courtyard is divided across and has a central floor plan . The residential part is accessible on the gable side, completely bricked and regularly structured. The marble portal has a straight lintel , a small skylight and a double, two-winged door. The windows of the house are framed by shellwork . On the gable facade there are painted representations of the Coronation of Mary and the Holy. Josef and Johannes von Nepomuk. Two iron window baskets on the first floor. The flat gable roof protrudes far. Rococo frames painted inside around the doors in the central corridor, the cellar is vaulted with a stitch cap, and two paneled rooms have been preserved. The service wing was rebuilt using the old vault.

The former riding arena was built in 1939 and is now used as a garage. The elongated, brick-built, single-storey building with a rectangular floor plan has a mighty roof structure and a protruding saddle roof, which is supported on the eaves sides with carved diagonal struts. On the two narrow sides there are mighty, richly structured gable gables with several St. Andrew's crosses, double headbands and three square gable windows. Immediately above the wall, there are small windows that continue on the knee of the long sides. Inside, in the western part, a mighty, open, wooden roof structure. Rooms are built into the eastern part.

The war memorial was erected in 1921–1923. On a pedestal a cross with a short crossbar and a crucified person hanging in front. At his feet a crouching, dying warrior, to the right of him a soldier with a helmet, who rests both hands on his rifle and bends over the dying man. The sculptural work comes from Andreas Hinterholzer (1875–1956), probably also the initials AH. Behind it is a semicircular wall with the names of all those who died in St. Johann in the two world wars.

The double fountain is a memorial for the St. Johann dean Matthias Wieshofer (1752-1819, dean from 1784 to 1819), who saved the place from destruction by the French and Bavaria during the Tyrolean uprising in 1809. The statue was created by Norbert Pfretzschner in 1908 on the occasion of the upcoming anniversary . The fountain was built as the end of the newly built high spring water pipeline on the church square. In 1923 the Wieshofer monument had to give way to the war memorial . In 1998 it was set up at its current location in front of the dean's parish. It is flanked by plaques commemorating local freedom fighters from 1809.

The post office was built in 1928. The eight-axis gable facade of the three-storey brick building projects like a risalit from the second to the seventh axis and is accentuated on the upper floors by balconies resting on artificial stone consoles, some of which run over a corner, with horizontally arranged parapet boards. In the wall area between the ground floor and the first floor depictions of the Tyrolean eagle by Ralf Caloja, in the field between the first and second floors depictions of the postal system. The facade painting is by P. Wojtek (inscribed). In the stairwell, a wrought-iron stair gate made of diagonal bars and offset rectangles.

The branch and former hospital church of St. Nikolaus in the Weitau was founded in 1262 by the Lords of Velben together with a pilgrims' hospice. The three-bay church with roof turret and Gothic three-eighth choir has several important medieval works of art: two high-quality tombstones from the transition period from Gothic to Renaissance, the only preserved Gothic window in Tyrol with glass paintings from the second half of the 15th century with a rich pictorial program by donors and saints as well as the two oldest bells in Tyrol from 1262. In the attic above the baroque vault there are remains of frescoes from the 15th century depicting the heavenly Jerusalem. In 1744/45 the church was redesigned in baroque style. The vault frescos are by Simon Benedikt Faistenberger with depictions of St. Nicholas, St. Johannes Nepomuk and the fourteen helpers in need , the wall frescoes by Josef Adam Mölk with the Mount of Olives and Crucifixion scenes as well as the fall of the bridge of St. Johannes Nepomuk. The altarpiece by Michael Greiter shows St. Nicholas and St. Margarethe, the Pietà on the left side altar was created by Joseph Haid , the high-quality rococo stucco works come from the workshop of Johann Georg Üblher.

The Rehlerhof is a two-story single courtyard, divided across, with a central floor plan . The core of the building dates from the 16th century, alterations were made with inscriptions in 1713 and 1891. The residential part is accessible on the gable side, the ground floor is bricked, the upper and attic floors are designed as square timber blocks with a dovetail connection . The stone arched portal has a chamfered wall, the windows on the ground floor also have stone, chamfered frames and push-through grilles. Upstairs surrounding upper chamber , above the pediment smaller upper chamber. The far projecting gable roof has a bell tower, the purlins are covered by cut-out purlin headboards. The cellar is vaulted, the central corridor with a stitch cap vault, the kitchen with a cross vault, and the dining room also with a stitch cap barrel.

The utility wing is bricked on the ground floor, the threshing floor above is built in an airy, timbered square timber construction and has walkways boarded vertically on the eaves.

The single-bay, brick-built chapel with a three-sided choir and a steep gable roof covered with wooden shingles dates from the first half of the 19th century. It has a rectangular door, a semicircular closed window on each side of the eaves and a medallion depicting St. Johannes Nepomuk (renewed in 2017) in the gable field. Inside there is a flat barrel vault and wrought iron grating in front of the chancel, in which there is a painting with a representation of Maria-Hilf, Nikolaus and Magadalena from 2004.

The elongated, brick-built, single-storey building with a rectangular floor plan with the steep, protruding saddle roof supported on carved diagonal struts was built in 1940. The corners are emphasized by inclined natural stone pillars, the facades are regularly structured. Inside, the old room layout has been preserved; in the northern, partially built-up part, the Heraklithic insulation in the open roof structure is still present.

The school building, built from 1972 to 1977, follows the school building ideals of the 1970s. The concrete building is symmetrical and consists of two class wings and two gymnasiums, between the wings there are special classes, auditorium and administration. The building complex consists of cubic structures in different storey heights. The artistic equipment comes from Franz Cziharz , Dietrich Ecker , Herbert Missoni and Jörg Waldmüller .

The name "Gmail" is derived from a painting originally located there. The chapel was built in 1782 (probably by Andrä Hueber from Kitzbühel) in a rock cave of the Niederkaiser as a late baroque central building with a flat dome. Inside it has a statue of the Virgin Mary from the 20th century, delicate rococo stucco and folk frescoes. The rococo altar formerly set up in the chapel is now in the chapel of the St. Johann in Tirol retirement home.
