The neo-Gothic church construction began on September 5, 1862 and was consecrated on August 22, 1862. It was donated by the married couple Martin and Juliana Auer, who had made such a vow because of the illnesses and accidents that had affected them. 1954–1956 a restoration took place, during which a new bell was installed. After the Kneiding cultural association acquired the chapel in 2002, it was restored again.

The memorial was erected in 1922 for the fallen and missing of the First World War and expanded in 1952.

The age of the cemetery is not recorded; an expansion took place in 1988. The cemetery has a round to oval shape. The funeral hall was built in the course of the church renovation in 1910.
