The castle was probably built in the 12th century and fell into disrepair after 1540. The gatehouse, the remains of the palace, the walls around the courtyard and the moat spanned by a stone bridge are still preserved.

In 1325 a document dedicated to St. Wolfgang is called the consecrated chapel. In 1721 the church was enlarged. The church has since nave, gothic using walls, baroque vaulted (lunettes barrel vault ceiling ). A mount of olives and the sacristy were built on the south side . There is an oratorio on the south side of the choir .

A church was mentioned in 1282 in the area of ​​the Herren von Wesen . The first documented mention of the "parish genes" was in 1325. Among the Albrechtsheimers , the parish of Waldkirchen was named in 1452 and the church in 1471 was called a "worthy place of worship". In 1906 the final work to extend the parish church was finished. A massive tower 40 meters high was also built. In 1994 extensive renovation work came to an end.
