List of purveyors to the court in Mecklenburg

In the Mecklenburg (partial) duchies of Mecklenburg-Güstrow , Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz a craftsman, artist or a merchant or company or its owner was recognized by the (grand) dukes for his services and because of the high quality of the Products with titles such as court craftsmen, court artists or court purveyors are honored. The title recipients did not necessarily have to be based in Mecklenburg.

Duke or Grand Duke of Mecklenburg purveyors to the court

The incomplete list below of the official court titleholders is arranged by last name. They were usually assigned to the regents' court. However, the wives of the regents and other members of the princely family could also award such court titles, provided they had their own court states. The names were published z. B. for Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz in the annual state calendars. There in the section "farm budget" z. B. the names of court artists, court craftsmen and court suppliers are published, sorted according to the various trades. This title was not inheritable. B. after the death of the company owner, the title had to be re-applied for.
