This list of caves in the Dead Mountains lists a selection of caves in the Dead Mountains .

The well-karstifying Dachstein limestone , in cooperation with the rest of the interface structure, offers particularly favorable conditions for cave formation. As of 2019, more than 2000 objects are listed in the Austrian cave directory. Most of the cave entrances are in the plateau area of ​​the Dead Mountains. With a measured 149,123 m, the Schönberg cave system (cat. No. 1626/300) is the longest cave in Austria.
