Lita zu Putlitz (actually Elisabeth Karoline Josephine Gans zu Putlitz , born October 27, 1862 at Retzin Castle ; † 1935 ) was a German writer.

Life

Lita zu Putlitz was the only daughter of the married couple Gustav and Elisabeth Gans zu Putlitz , b. Countess Koenigsmarck. She had four older brothers, Stephan Gans zu Putlitz , Konrad Gans zu Putlitz , Joachim Gans zu Putlitz and Wolfgang Gans zu Putlitz . A younger brother named Victor died as a toddler. The family lived alternately at Retzin Palace and in the Königsmarckschen Palais in Berlin until Gustav Gans zu Putlitz took up his job in Karlsruhe . After the death of her father, Lita zu Putlitz lived with her mother and a brother at Retzin Castle.

She wrote an autobiographical work entitled From the picture room of my life and 1813 , a festival in two acts, as well as casual literary work. She also published her mother's memoirs.
