Litchfield Park is a census-designated place in Maricopa County in the US state of Arizona with about 3800 inhabitants (as of 2000 census) on an area of 8.1 km². The population density is 470.0 / km². Lichfield Park is located north of Interstate 10 and is bordered by Arizona State Route 303 to the west and Arizona State Route 101 to the east. About 6 km to the south is the Phoenix Goodyear Airport , where Lufthansa (since 1970) has trained its young pilots. Furthermore, the Luke Air Force Base is north of the city .
