Live over Europe is Black Country Communion's third album and the group's first concert album . It was during the Europe tour for the album 2 , which had published the band in June 2011, taken up by Kevin Shirley producing . It also includes a version of the song Burn , which Deep Purple recorded when Glenn Hughes was the group's bassist.

background

With the exception of the title Smokestack Woman, which is not included, the album is identical in content to the DVD of the same name that the band released in 2011. Since Smokestack Woman on the DVD is only used in the studio version of the song for the end credits of the concert film, the CD is the soundtrack of the performances shown on the DVD.

In a review, however, related to the DVD, Michael Rensen of Rock Hard magazine wrote that the band “rock, groove, sweat and whip oneself” through the material of their two albums, the “Bonamassa hit“ The Ballad of John Henry ” and the Deep Purple cover ´Burn´. Jason Bonham drums "almost as powerful as his father" ( John Bonham ), Glenn Hughes , who "has obviously fallen into a fountain of youth, " masters the "double burden of vocals / bass terrific," and Joe Bonamassa conjures up "once again in his own league."
