Living Lâche is an Austrian Irish punk folk band. In its long history, she has played as the opening act for the Oysterband , The Real McKenzies , Justin Sullivan (from New Model Army ) and Skyclad , among others . The music video for their song It Was So Mad won the 2010 A Night of Horror International Film Festival in Sydney , Australia for the best music video.
Band history
Founded in 2001 by Toni Ammer, Daniel Capek and Stephyschicht, Living Lâche released their first album in 2002. If their music sounded very much like punk in the beginning , the style changed more and more to a mixture of folk and punk. In 2004 Stephanie Shift left the band and Matthias Galan joined the band as a drummer . This was followed by Michael Ammer, Rubina Mirfattahi (until 2010), Max Kirchner as second drummer and finally Sarah Just on keyboard.
In 2008 Living Lâche separated from the Problembär Records label and released their next album unflushable - young, hot and police power! as a free download on the music platform NeppStar . The 2010 album Folkrock Mountain was released under the label Moshel Kamadu Records .
Reviews
The Austrian daily newspaper Kronen Zeitung described the album living lâche and other typical pub situations as a “party record for hard-drinking Ireland lovers with an affinity for funky melodies”.
The German online platform celtic rock wrote about the album Folkrock Mountain, which was released in 2010, "The sound is chaotic, bumbling, punky, trashy as ever.
