Livio Fabretti

Livio Fabretti (born July 13, 1786 in Monte San Vito , Province of Ancona , † August 28, 1855 in Rome ) was an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman, Cistercian , abbot and abbot general .

life and work

Fabretti was a Cistercian monk (professed in 1804) in the monasteries of San Lorenzo in Doliolo in San Severino Marche and the monastery of Chiaravalle d'Ancona (also: Santa Maria di Castagnola ). From 1823 he belonged to the monastery of San Bernardo alle Terme in Rome (as novice master , from 1830 as prior ). From 1835 he was abbot of the Chiaravalle d'Ancona monastery, from 1845 to 1850 abbot of San Bernardo alle Terme, at the same time (as successor to Nivardo Tassini ) Abbot General of the Cistercian Order. Then he resigned all offices due to illness (successor: Tommaso Mossi ).
