Liza Johnson

Liza Johnson (born December 13, 1970 in Portsmouth , USA ) is an American film director and screenwriter .

Life

Liza Johnson was in Berlin in 1999 as a guest of the German Academic Exchange Service . She also received a scholarship from the Sundance Institute . As an artist, she exhibited her video works at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus , the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris .

Several of her short films have been shown at major film festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival and the Rotterdam International Film Festival . In 2000, she made her 70-minute feature film Fernweh - The Opposite of Homesick . She also mostly works as a producer and editor of her films and holds an associate professorship in art at Williams College in Massachusetts .
