Lyudmyla Leontijivna Denissowa ( Ukrainian Людми́ла Лео́нтіївна Дені́сова , born July 6, 1960 in Arkhangelsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Ukrainian lawyer and politician of the Popular Front party . She was appointed Minister of Social Affairs in the Yatsenyuk I cabinet .

biography

Lyudmyla Leontiyivna Denissowa was born on July 6, 1960 in Arkhangelsk. In 1978 she graduated from the Archangelsk Pedagogical University. From 1979 to 1989 she worked, among other things, as an educator and held various offices in the Archangelsk Regional Court. She studied from 1982 to 1989 at the State University of Saint Petersburg , where she graduated in law . From 1990 to 1991 she worked as a legal advisor in the Crimean Provincial Committee . From 1991 to 1993 she worked as the deputy head of the Ukrainian pension fund of Crimea. From 1993 to 1995 she studied at the Tauride University of Entrepreneurship and Law in Simferopol , where she completed her degree in economics .

From May 1998 to July of the same year she was the Minister of Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea . From July 1998 to 2001 she was the Crimean Minister of Finance. From 2001 to 2002 she worked as treasurer of the Crimean State Treasury. From 2003 to 2005 she was chairwoman of the supervisory board of the textile company " Gumateks ".

She was elected to the Verkhovna Rada as a member of the All-Ukrainian Association "Fatherland" in the 2006 and 2007 parliamentary elections. From December 18, 2007 to March 11, 2010, she was the Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine. In the parliamentary elections in 2012 , she was re-elected as a member of the Rada. From December 2012 she worked in the Committee on Social Policy and Labor of the Verkhovna Rada.

In the wake of the events of the Euromaidan in the Yatsenyuk I cabinet , she was appointed Minister of Social Affairs. Denisova was a founding member of the Popular Front party and was number 15 in the Ukraine's parliamentary elections in 2014 .

Private

Denisova has two children.
