Llannor , Welsh Llan-Nor or Llanfaur , is a small town and municipality on the Lleyn Peninsula ( Pen Llŷn ) in County Gwynedd , Wales . The place is about 3 miles northwest of Pwllheli in a hilly area. The formerly independent villages of Abererch , Efailnewydd , Llangybi and Rhos-fawr belong to the large municipality . The Catholic Parish of Holy Cross is a vicariate of the Diocese of Bangor . There are also two chapels of the Methodist Church in the village . The total population is 2,244 people (as of the 2001 census)
