Loacker is an Italian confectionery manufacturer based in Unterinn , South Tyrol . The company, founded in 1925, mainly produces waffles and chocolate pastries.

The company's products are sold in more than 100 countries.

history

In 1925, Alfons Loacker opened a pastry shop on Dominikanerplatz in Bozen . Since his family originally comes from Götzis in Vorarlberg , he made his waffles based on the old Austrian model. His products soon became famous all over South Tyrol . In 1974 his three children, Armin, Rainer and Christine Loacker-Zuenelli, took over the company and invested in new plants. The company was managed by Armin Loacker († 2019) until 2019. From 1996, his sons Andreas Loacker and Martin Loacker and his nephew Ulrich Zuenelli gradually took over management positions in the company. The entire Loacker Group has more than 1000 employees (as of 2019).
