particularities
Loch Ness Monster was the first roller coaster to be equipped with interlocking loops . The special thing about interlocking loops is that two loops are hooked into one another, i.e. the section of one loop runs through the middle of the other loop. Following the closure of Orient Express in Worlds of Fun ( Kansas City ) Loch Ness monster is the only roller coaster in the world with interlocking loops.
journey
After the 40 m high lift hill , the 35 m high descent of 55 ° and a driveway that ends in a 180 ° curve, the train goes through the upper loop of the interlocking loops after a descent. This is followed by a long helix in a tunnel, followed by a second lift hill. After this departure, the train goes through the lower loop of the interlocking loops before applying the final brake.
