The Lochbach is a flowing water in Solingen . It rises from several sources near the Obenscheidt court in Solingen-Gräfrath and flows into the Itter on the left in Solingen-Ohligs . Older names are Lobach , Lohbach and Laubach for the upper course, Brosbach or Brobach for the lower course of the brook.

Parts of the Lochbach valley are designated as biotope protection areas, which are set up and maintained by the Foundation for the Protection of Animals and Nature Solingen eV . In historical times there were eleven grinding cottages characteristic of the Bergisches Land along the course of the brook .
