The crazy residents of the Viking village of Loggerhead very often get on their nerves and their neighbors. This more often leads to quarrels that are told humorously. The focus is mostly on the chief Björn and his opponent Gissur, who are at war.

The series was produced between 1996 and 1997 by Magma Films and Pro 7 in Germany, the United Kingdom and Ireland. This resulted in 26 episodes.

The German version was created in 1997. Eberhard Storeck wrote the dialogue book and directed it. He also took over the synchronization of the skald Frodi and the seal Alibi.
