Franz-Josef Steffens (born December 27, 1923 in Beckum ; † May 5, 2006 in Hamburg ) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Originally from Beckum in Westphalia, Steffens began his professional career in the late 1940s after completing professional acting training at the theater. Other stage stops included Mannheim, Cologne, Vienna, Berlin, the Bad Hersfeld Festival , the Salzburg Festival and the German Theater in Hamburg . In 1987 he received the "Great Hersfeld Prize" for his portrayal as Alfred Ill in Friedrich Dürrenmatt's visit to the old lady .
