Lola Dueñas (born October 6, 1971 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress .

Life

The daughter of the actor Nicolás Dueñas studied at the Teatro de la Abadía in Madrid . She made her film debut in 1997 in Mensaka . She first gained popularity in Spain as a television actress before attracting international attention as a character actress in films by Pedro Almodóvar and Alejandro Amenábar . For her acting achievements, she was twice awarded the most important Spanish film prize, Goya, for best actress.
