Philippe Le Guay (born October 22, 1956 in Paris , France ) is a French director , screenwriter and actor .

Life

Le Guay was trained at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC) from 1980 . His first screenplay was written in 1986 for the film 15 août by Nicole Garcia . The first feature film that Le Guay directed was Les Deux Fragonard in 1989 , for which he also wrote the screenplay.

Le Guay is the brother of Marie-Laure Le Guay, who is married to the former French Minister and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin .
