Lone Grove is a city in Carter County , Oklahoma in the United States . In 2000 the place had 4631 inhabitants.

The town, which is 7 miles west of Ardmore , is essentially a housing estate and many of the residents are employed in Ardmore businesses.

history

On February 4, 1885, a post office was opened in Lone Grove. In a geographical study of the area, the population for 1905 is given as 215 people.
