Lorenz Zotz the Elder
Lorenz Zotz the Elder (* 1862 in Nesselwängle in Tyrol ; † 1903 ) was an Austrian- German master of plastering .
Lorenz Zotz the Elder comes from the Tyrolean family of artists and scholars, the Zotz family , who produced numerous masters of stucco art such as Hubert Zotz , Lorenz Zotz the Younger and Ämilian Zotz . He emigrated from Tyrol to Germany, where he and his brothers Gottfried Zotz and Eduard Zotz († 1935) founded a construction company with a stucco art studio in Münster .
One of the masterpieces of the Zotz brothers' studio is the design of the neo-baroque church of St. Magdalena and Luzia in Bruchhausen (Arnsberg) .
