Lorne Campbell Currie (born April 25, 1871 in Le Havre , † June 20, 1926 there ) was a British sailor .

Lorne Currie, who sailed for the Société des Régates du Havre in Le Havre and the Royal Temple Yacht Club in Ramsgate , took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris , where he competed in three competitions as a crew member of the Scotia , which he owned. In the joint race, the Scotia was the first boat to cross the finish line two minutes before the Cschenbrödel from Germany, with which Currie, like the other crew members John Gretton and Linton Hope and skipper Algernon Maudslay, became Olympic champions . In the boat class 0.5 to 1 ton , they achieved another Olympic victory in the first race, while they missed another podium finish in the second race, finishing fourth.
