Charlotte “Lotte” Seyerl (* 1953 in Vienna ) is an Austrian painter and representative of the New Objectivity.

From 1999 to 2018 she taught at the Institute for Fine Arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna .

Life

Lotte Seyerl studied from 1971 to 1976 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna at the master school for painting under Walter Eckert .

She lives as a freelance painter in Vienna , Lower Austria and Tyrol , temporarily in Berlin in 1988 .

From 1983 to 1992 she curated projects, including Donauinsel, in Galerie Springfeld, Berlin (1988), Guerilla Girls / New York in Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Vienna (1991), Art Slide Peep Show for Intakt in WUK , Vienna (1991 ), TON & TON, Art Science in the Ecology Institute, Vienna (1991), Vacuum limited Edition (1990), Vienna Express in the Manhattan Graphics Center, New York (1998), SilvrettAtelier in Haus Wittgenstein, Vienna (2001).

Lotte Seyerl has been a member of the Vienna Secession since 1986 .
