Louis Eduard Ichon (born June 20, 1811 in Bordeaux , † October 19, 1890 at Gut Sandfort near Osnabrück ) was a German entrepreneur.

biography

Ichon settled in Bremen in 1833 . He represented a company from Bordeaux in Bremen. In 1843 he became a citizen of the city and in the same year he set up the first regular steamship line between Bremen and Amsterdam . He also founded the Weser-Hunte steam shipping and the steam shipping line Bremen-England . From 1845 to 1857 he worked successfully as a ship broker and in the emigration business. He was also the Belgian consul in the Hanseatic city from 1850 to 1857 .

He was married to Adele Ichon, née Gruner (born November 29, 1823, † May 6, 1873).
