Louis Soullier

Louis Soullier OMI (born March 26, 1826 in Meymac , † October 3, 1897 in Paris ) was a French Oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .

Louis Soullier entered the seminary in Tulle in 1846 . Just two years later he began the novitiate with the Oblates in Notre-Dame-de-l'Osier . After taking perpetual vows in 1849, he was ordained a priest on May 25, 1850. He devoted his life primarily to preaching popular missions . In 1867 he was elected to the General Council of the Congregation of the Oblates by the General Chapter . On May 11, 1893, he finally succeeded Joseph Fabre as Superior General . He died in Paris on October 3, 1897 .
