Louis Vasile Puşcaş
Louis Vasile Puşcaş (born September 13, 1915 in Aurora , Illinois ; † October 3, 2009 ibid) was Eparch of the Romanian Catholic Church united with Rome .
Life
Louis Vasile Puşcaş was ordained a priest on May 14, 1942 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Leuce in 1982 and appointed him Apostolic Exarch of Saint George's in Canton. He received his episcopal ordination on June 26, 1983, Bishop Traian Crişan , secretary of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints ; Co- consecrators were Emil John Mihalik , Bishop of the Parma Eparchy , and Michael Joseph Dudick , Bishop of the Passaic Eparchy . 1987 took place with the elevation to the eparchy, the appointment as the first bishop of the eparchy Saint George's in Canton with seat in Canton , Ohio . In 1993, his age-related resignation was granted.
