history

The Eparchy of Saint George's in Canton was established on January 11, 1982 by Pope John Paul II as an Apostolic Exarchate for the United States . The Apostolic Exarchate was elevated to an eparchy by John Paul II on March 26, 1987 and renamed the Eparchy Saint George's in Canton .
