Louis Zotz (* 22. April 1903 in pockets (House No. 76), Wenns, Imst, Tirol. Louis Zotz comes from the Austro-German artist, entrepreneur and scholarly family Zotz or Zoz, from which numerous theologians and priests emerged , including Edmund Zoz , Alois Zotz and Josef Zotz . Louis Zotz grew up in his native Tyrol . In his family's Catholic milieu one read the magazine “St. Josefs-Missionsbote ”, which reported with many pictures of Catholic order projects in Africa, Asia, Oceania and South America. Zotz subsequently studied theology in Austria and London , where he was ordained a priest on July 20, 1930 at the headquarters of the Mission Society in the Mill Hill district of the London Borough of Barnet . The consecration was made by William Bouter, the bishop of the Indian diocese of Nellore . Then Louis Zotz went to the Philippines, where he worked until 1972 in the Antique Province, among other places, as a priest in Patnongon and in educational and social projects. He then returned to Austria, where he did pastoral work in Tyrol. He died in Zaunhof, about 17 kilometers from his birthplace in Piller.

Louis Zotz founded in 1959 in San Jose with Simon Baars and John Daly, the "St. Anthony's College ”, which to this day, as a state-recognized university, offers various courses in the humanities and natural sciences.
