Louise-Hippolyte of Monaco (born November 10, 1697 in Monaco ; † December 29, 1731 ibid) from the Grimaldi family was Princess of Monaco from February 20, 1731 until her death in the same year.

Louise-Hippolyte was the daughter of Antoine I of Monaco and Maria of Lorraine . On October 20, 1715 she was married to the Norman liege lord Jacques-Francois Léonor de Goyon, Sire de Matignon, Count of Torigni . The marriage was with the signature of the five-year-old Louis XV. sealed by France, it was his first official act as king.

At the time of her father's death on February 20, 1731, Louise-Hippolyte already had eight children and was living in Paris. On April 4, 1731, she traveled to Monaco, where she took her inheritance and was received with jubilation. Her husband Jacques, who succeeded her, was welcomed noticeably cooler and had to discover that his wife had already taken over the rule.

However, Louise-Hippolyte died on December 29 of the same year of smallpox , which was rampant in Monaco. In her short reign she was at least able to push through some reforms, including a ban on carrying arms.

Her official successor, Honoré III, came from her marriage to Jacques . from Monaco. Initially, however, her husband took over the rule of the state as Jacques I. However, he met with extreme rejection in Monaco, so that he resigned in May 1732 and left the country. The position of guardian was taken over by the illegitimate son of his father-in-law Antoine, Antoine Grimaldi .
