Louise Henry (born Jessie Louise Heiman ; born June 14, 1911 in Syracuse , New York , † February 17, 1967 in New York City ) was an American actress .

Life

Louise Henry was the daughter of Jesse Heiman and the vaudeville star Louise Henry Heiman (1888–1940). She was an only child and accompanied her mother on her European tours, where she learned to play and dance. In 1933 she moved to Los Angeles , where she chose her mother's stage name and was under contract with MGM from 1934 . She had her most successful year in 1935 when she appeared in nine films and participated in the mystery comedy What Happened Yesterday? worked on the script. After failing to renew her expiring contract, she returned to New York, where she married lawyer Samuel Robert Weltz, Sr. In Syracuse, she organized an acting course while living with her husband in Manhattan and Elberon , New Jersey . She is the step-grandmother of actress India Ennenga .
