Love is a Franco-Belgian film directed by Gaspar Noé . It premiered on May 20, 2015 at the Cannes International Film Festival in the series “Séances de minuit”. The cinema release in Germany was on November 26, 2015.

Murphy and Electra have been in a wild relationship for two years, one of drug excesses and passionate sex. Your mood often fluctuates between overjoyed and insanely jealous, but love and hate are close together. When Electra and Murphy were having fun in bed with their pretty neighbor, Omi, it was not without consequences for the couple. Murphy takes a liking to Omi and meets with her even without Electra's knowledge. Eventually Omi becomes pregnant by Murphy, after which he is abandoned by Electra. When he is contacted by Electra's mother Nora after a while, because she has not heard from her daughter for a long time and fears a suicide attempt, Murphy realizes that he has lost his great love.
criticism
The film service judges that the “provocative sex film” unfolds “the triangular relationship determined by strong emotional fluctuations, whereby the erotic scenes do without close-ups, close-ups and intercuts and mostly show the action in long, rigid shots”. The “three-dimensionality of the 3D images” would “enhance the realism of the scenes, which symbolically appear trapped in eternal gloom”.
Awards
The film received a nomination for " Queer Palm " in Cannes . At the Polish film festival Camerimage 2015, Love received the jury award for best 3D film.
