Lozica is a village in the Dubrovnik Municipality in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia .

location

Lozica is located six kilometers northeast of the city of Dubrovnik and lies on the Jadranska Magistrala . The village is located at the fork in the road that goes around Rijeka Dubrovačka . It is located both below and above the road between the villages of Zaton and Mokošica .

history

Lozica is a fairly young village that originated in the 1970s and is still growing. Like many other villages in the municipality, Lozica was completely destroyed and burned down by the People's Liberation Army and the Chetniks during the Croatian War from 1991 to 1995 .

economy

The place lives mainly from tourism from countries of the former Yugoslavia and is dependent on the summer season .
