Lubomír Pokluda (born March 17, 1958 in Frýdek-Místek ) is a former Czech football player .

Club career

Pokluda started his career at Sklo Union Teplice . After three years, the striker moved to RH Cheb , where he scored 34 goals in 113 first division games. In early 1985 Pokluda was signed by Sparta Prague , with three goals in twelve games he contributed to winning the championship.

In January 1986 the attacker switched to Inter Bratislava , but could no longer prevent the team from relegating in 1985/86. With eight goals in 26 games Pokluda contributed to the immediate resurgence. After the season 1987/88 Pokluda moved abroad and joined the Belgian club SK Lierse .

In the Czechoslovak first division, Pokluda played a total of 267 games in which the striker scored 59 goals.

National team

Pokluda made four games for the Czechoslovak national team . He made his debut against Argentina on October 15, 1980 in Buenos Aires . Pokluda made his second game again a little over a year later against Argentina. On October 6, 1982, he played his only 90-minute international match - the Czechoslovaks drew 2-2 from Sweden in Bratislava . For the last time for the ČSSR Pokluda played on October 27, 1982. In the game against Denmark , coach František Havránek changed him in the last minute for Petr Janečka .

Olympic team

Lubomír Pokluda, often called Luboš Pokluda, was part of the Czechoslovak selection in 1980, which won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Moscow . The striker played in all six games and scored both in the 3-0 win against Colombia in the first group game and in the 3-0 against Cuba in the quarter-finals.

In March 1983 Pokluda came again to a mission for the Czechoslovak Olympic team. The ČSSR defeated the USSR team 3-1.
