Luca Amato

Luca Amato (actually Jean-Luca Amato ; born August 24, 1996 in Cologne ) is a German motorcycle racer .

Career

In 2004 and 2005 Amato competed in motocross races . In 2006 he switched to minibikes . In 2007 and 2008 he was champion in the ADAC Minibike Cup . In 2009, he came third overall in the ADAC Junior Cup .

German championship

In 2010 Amato competed in the International German Motorcycle Championship . For Racing Team Germany he achieved a pole position , a victory and a second place in eight races held on an Aprilia RS 125 . At the end of the season, Amato had 67 points and was eleventh in the drivers' standings. In 2011 he started for RZT Racing . He won three races on his Aprilia RS 125 , finished second once and third once. In the end he was runner-up one point behind the Australian Jack Miller . That year he received the title of ADAC Junior Motorsporter of the Year 2011 .

Spanish motorcycle road championship

In 2011 Amato competed in two races in the Spanish Road Motorcycle Championship . In 2012 he was runner- up behind Álex Márquez .

Motorcycle world championship

At the same time, Amato competed in the Moto3 class for the first time in 2012 . In his five missions, however, he could not get any points. In 2013 Amato competed for the Ambrogio Racing team .
