Luciana Paluzzi
Luciana Paluzzi (born June 10, 1937 in Rome ; also Luciana Paoluzzi ) is an Italian actress .
Life
Paluzzi had her first film appearance in 1954 in the Hollywood comedy Three Coins in the Fountain , shot in Italy ; however, this role was so small that it was not mentioned in the credits. From then on, the red-haired actress appeared in many, mostly Italian, films.
Although she was active in front of the camera until the late 1970s, she was remembered primarily for her role as SPECTER killer Fiona Volpe in the 1965 James Bond film Thunderball . Originally she was intended for the female lead of Dominetta "Domino" Palazzi , which was then cast with the former Miss France Claudine Auger .
Paluzzi was married to Brett Halsey from 1960 to 1962 and they have one son. In 1980 she married Michael Solomon, with whom she now lives in Bel Air , Los Angeles, California.
