Luciano Lucignani
Luciano Lucignani (born January 11, 1922 in Rome , † October 11, 2008 ibid, Italy ) was an Italian theater and film director and screenwriter .
Life
Lucignani graduated from the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico with a degree in directing in 1948 and devoted himself primarily to theater work, where he played John Ford's Schade that she is a whore (with Raoul Grassilli and Giorgio Albertazzi in the leading roles) 1949 presented a highly acclaimed production. Between 1956 and 1977, Lucignani wrote six screenplays for films and worked as a director on four occasions, always in collaboration with colleagues. Among them is the interesting L'alibi from 1968, which he staged together with his long-time companions Vittorio Gassman and Adolfo Celi and takes an autobiographical, satirical look at their own careers. Lucignani made numerous contributions to RAI cultural programs .
