Luciano Petech

Luciano Petech (born June 8, 1914 in Trieste , † September 29, 2010 on Lake Como ) was an Italian historian and Tibetologist . He was a student of Giuseppe Tucci and from 1955 to 1984 professor of the history of East Asia at the University of Rome .
