The Actual Fenster AG is a window and door manufacturer based in Upper Austria Haid, one of the city Ansfelden belonging to the district. According to company information, Actual is one of the leading Central European brand suppliers of windows, doors and sun protection and is 100% an Austrian family business . The company employs 390 people and was number three in the Austrian window industry in 2008 with a 6.4% market share (as of 2008) (behind Internorm and Josko and ahead of Gaulhofer ).

history

Walter Ganzberger founded the company in 1970, Actual is now run by the brothers Herwig, Ingo and Claus Ganzberger. The company has always relied on research and development: Actual was the first Austrian company to develop and produce profile systems for windows and doors itself and was also one of the global pioneers in the production of environmentally friendly, lead-free window systems. In 2009, the Actual Group was able to increase sales to 61 million euros. The export quota is around 15%.

In 2018 the company took over the bankruptcy assets of the Vorarlberg window manufacturer Zech . This is newly founded as a 100% subsidiary Zech Fenster GmbH based in Götzis .

Factory locations

PVC and PVC-U aluminum windows are mainly produced in the main plant in Haid. Wood and wood-aluminum windows are manufactured in the plants in Hirnsdorf in Styria and Rudersdorf in Burgenland .

Actual relies on a kind of franchise system in sales . Actual has over 150 specialist retail partners in Austria, Germany , Italy , Switzerland , Slovakia and Hungary , making it one of the top 10 Austrian franchise systems in 2002 . As of 2009 there are around 70 actual exhibition locations. With a total area of ​​400 m², the Actual Window Center in Ansfelden is the largest.

Awards

Actual was awarded the “Energie Genie” innovation prize for energy-saving innovations three times (most recently in 2008) by the Austrian Ministry of the Environment and the Province of Upper Austria. In 2007, Actual was the leading window company in 2007 in the “ Austria's Leading Companies ” ranking by Wirtschaftsblatt , PricewaterhouseCoopers and the 1870 credit protection association . The assessment was based on the economic figures from 2004 to 2006.

An advertising campaign won gold at the 2010 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival . In 2010, Actual was again recognized by the "Austria's Leading Companies". In 2011 the Creativ Club Austria won gold, silver and bronze.
