Lucien Koch (born January 2, 1996 in Wildhaus ) is a Swiss snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Koch has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2008 . He achieved his first podium finish in December 2010 with third place on the halfpipe at the Iceripper Junior Open in Davos . At the Nescafé Champs 2011 in Leysin , he won the Slopestyle . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in Bardonecchia in March 2011 , which he finished eighth on the halfpipe. At the Snowboard World Championships in 2013 in Stoneham , he finished 28th in Slopestyle. In March 2013 he won bronze on the halfpipe and silver in slopestyle at the 2013 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Erzurum . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came in 28th place in slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he took third place at the big air event freestyle.ch in Zurich . At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he finished 27th in slopestyle and fourth in halfpipe competition. In March 2015, he won his first Slopestyle World Cup at the FIS World Cup Race in Špindlerův Mlýn and thus achieved third place in the FIS Slopestyle World Cup. In November 2015, he finished second in Big Air at the Audi Snowboard Series in Glacier3000 .

In 2012, Koch became Swiss champion on the halfpipe. In April 2015 he won the Swiss championships in slopestyle and big air competition.
