Lucius Marcius Censorinus was nephew of Gaius Marcius Censorinus . He came from a family that were followers of Gaius Marius and thus belonged to the followers of his nephew Gaius Iulius Caesar . Marcius is first recorded when he wanted to protect Caesar when he was murdered on the Ides of March . After Caesar's death he became a follower of Mark Antony and 43 BC. Chr. Praetor . During the civil war-like conditions, he followed Marcus Antonius and was ostracized by the Senate .
