Ludolf Colditz

Ultimus Ludolf Alexander Colditz (born December 31, 1847 in Naunhof , † June 17, 1909 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and entrepreneur .

Colditz studied law and received his doctorate in 1907 at the University of Leipzig to Dr. jur. , his dissertation was entitled: The current account contract of the Commercial Code of May 10, 1897. He was later awarded the honorary title of Councilor of Justice .

Colditz was a member of the City Council of Leipzig and President of Leipziger real estate company , a subsidiary founded in 1872 the General German Credit institute .

On February 15, 1873 he married the pastor's daughter Anna Adele Voigt and had five children with her, including the only son Ludolf Colditz junior. (1883–1952), who led the Brehmer Brothers company in Leipzig from 1920.

Colditz was a member of the Leipzig Masonic Lodge Balduin zur Linde .

Ludolf-Colditz-Strasse has been in existence since 1905, and Gustav-Schwabe-Platz in the Leipzig district of Stötteritz was named after him from 1905 to 1947 .
