The Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Ludwigsburg . The stadium is the home of the football club MTV Ludwigsburg (until 2019 SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg ) , which plays in the Württemberg regional league, and the American football team Ludwigsburg Bulldogs. It offers space for 18,000 spectators, including 754 covered seats.

history

The facility was built in the 1930s. When it was inaugurated in 1938, it was the second largest stadium in Württemberg after the Adolf-Hitler-Kampfbahn in Stuttgart at the time .

During the game between Spvgg 07 Ludwigsburg and 1. FC Nürnberg in the 1996/97 season, the first complete live TV broadcast of a regional league game by SWR took place from the Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion .

The Ludwigsburg Bulldogs , the American football department of MTV Ludwigsburg, have been using the venue for their games since 2005 .
