Ludwig II. August Friedrich Emil von Anhalt-Köthen (born September 20, 1802 in Köthen ; † December 18, 1818 in Leipzig ) was Duke of Anhalt-Köthen from the Ascanians for six years , but was due to his minority until on his death under the tutelage of his relatives from the Dessau line.
Duke Ludwig was the son of Prince Ludwig of Anhalt-Koethen (1778–1802). The father died before his ruling brother, the Prince (since 1806 Duke) August Christian . Since the childless Duke August Christian died in 1812, Ludwig had formally to succeed as a ten-year-old ailing boy (under the tutelage of the senior of the Princely House of Anhalt, Duke Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau ) 16 years of age survived.
Ludwig died childless in 1818 and was buried in the princely crypt of St. Jakob's Church in Köthen . The title of duke and government went to his cousin Ferdinand from the Anhalt-Koethen-Pless branch .
