Ludwig Bonifaz Philipp Steinherr , Edler von Hohenstein (born January 19, 1793 in Bingen am Rhein ; † unknown) was a Hessian landowner and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Ludwig Bonifaz Philipp Steinherr, Edler von Hohenstein, was the son of the Oberamtmann of the County of Falkenstein, Innocent Steinherr von Hohenstein (1751-1824) , who was ennobled in 1786, and his wife Anna Maria née Geißweiler. He was Catholic and married Maria Catharina, born Merlen, on April 7, 1827 in Bingen. He was a landowner and community taker in Bingen.

From 1841 to 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Bingen or Rheinhessen 5 / Bingen .

In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .

Nach dem Scheitern der Märzrevolution wanderte er 1850 nach Amerika aus.
