Ludwig Friedrich Mayer

Ludwig Friedrich Mayer (born September 9, 1905 in Staffort ; † February 8, 1950 near Dierdorf ) was a business graduate, auditor, Dr. rer pol, board member of the Raiffeisen headquarters Hessen-Kassel and member of the board of the German Raiffeisen Association in Bonn.

Live and act

Mayer attended elementary school in Staffort, the grammar school in Bruchsal and completed a bank apprenticeship in Karlsruhe . He then studied banking at the commercial college in Mannheim (today University of Mannheim ) with a degree in business administration.

After working as an auditor at a Württemberg building society and at the Badischer Genossenschaftsverband , he passed the examination as an auditor . During the subsequent hiring wrote as a senior auditor at the German Cooperative Association in Berlin, he with the theme of his dissertation to possible use of Hollerith process in the German cooperative movement with which he in 1939 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main Dr. rer. pole. received his doctorate.

In the Second War he was drafted into the Wehrmacht on the Western Front in 1943 , where he was taken prisoner by the British in 1944 as an officer near Dunkirk .

After returning from England, he rejoined the board of the Raiffeisen Association Hessen Kassel and was appointed to the board of the German Raiffeisen Association. During a business trip to the association meeting in Bonn, his driver caused an accident on the autobahn near Dierdorf, which Mayer did not survive.

Ludwig Mayer was married to Gretchen Annemarie, born Reimers (1912–1998), from 1937; the marriage resulted in a daughter.
